Martin is CEO of Adelie Foods Group. Adelie develops, manufactures and delivers high quality, innovative food-to-go products such as salads, sandwiches and hot meals and is a £250m business employing 3000 people across 4 factories, 5 distribution centres and 2 innovation kitchens in the UK.
Adelie’s customers are coffee shops, Food Service catering businesses, convenience stores, retailers, and travel operators. Adelie is also proud to be the home of URBAN Eat, the UK’s number one sandwich brand and the Daily Bread premium brand.
Martin is passionate about high quality, tasty, healthy food and leading businesses to ‘live’ quality, service and innovation as part of their DNA. His team spend a lot of energy understanding food and consumer trends, working with the best ingredient suppliers and nurturing their operational processes to create the best possible food-to-go in the market. Their goal is always to ensure that the food Adelie makes is the preferred choice for consumers.
Previously, Martin was CCO at BMI Healthcare, the UK’s largest private hospital group and prior to that, he held senior positions at BAA Airports and Mars Confectionery, working in his earlier career as an Engineer with Ford and BMW. Martin is a Chartered Engineer with an Engineering Degree from Reading, a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and he also holds a business degree from Warwick.
