Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2009
The Food Manufacture Excellence Awards honour the very best food and drink manufacturing companies. They assess companies' progress across a range of criteria: from category and supply chain management to new product development; from process innovation, to health, safety and environmental management; and from marketing to human resource management.

- Chilled Ready Meals and Prepared Foods
- Dairy
- Fresh Produce
- Frozen Foods
- Hot and Cold Beverages
- Meat and Poultry
- Seafood
Now in their fifth year, Food Manufacture is again working with Improve - the food and drink sector skills council - to hold the Food Manufacture Skills Excellence Awards. These comprise three categories specific to employment in food and drink manufacturing:
- Apprenticeships
- Diversity in Recruitment
- Productivity through Skills
Judges Special Award: Presented to the entrant which demonstrates outstanding achievement in one particular area of activity
Small Company of the Year: Awarded to the best small UK food or drink manufacturer (typically employing fewer than 100 people and with a turnover of less than £10 million a year)
Food Manufacture Personality of the Year: Now in it's third year this award will be presented to the individual who has done most over the past year to raise the profile of the industry. The winner will be selected by a poll of Food Manufacture's readership from a shortlist of candidates compiled by the Food Manufacture editorial team.
Food Manufacture Company of the Year 2009: This coveted title goes to the overall winner, selected from the individual category winners.Why Enter?
