Guests from across the industry gathered at the Park Lane Hilton, London on Thursday 21 November to celebrate the best in the business at the 2013 Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards.
Premier Foods picked up the top accolade as they were named the Food Manufacturing Company of the Year after first winning awards for Ambient Manufacturing Company of the Year and Training Programme of the Year.
The award judges - led by judging panel chairman Paul Wilkinson - praised Premier Foods' Ashford factory's incredible fortitude in turning around a business that was earmarked for closure in 2007 into a successful operation today. The judges said: "Premier Foods has shown great skill in carrying out a major restructuring of its operation against a difficult backdrop, which has resulted in continuous year-on-year improvement."
Other winners on the night included Mash Direct who picked up the title for Most Innovative Small Company of the Year and United Biscuits who won the award for Environmental Initiative of the Year. Congratulations to all our winners!
